Here we have created a floating deck and pergola with a Japanese slant.

Crazy york stone paving set in steel frames surrounds the pergola and a steel water rill between the two gives the impression that the oak deck is floating.

A simple planting scheme set between sandstone rocks softens but does not compete with the strong structural design.
