Brendan Vaughan Garden Design
After 20 years working in the engineering industry I decided to embark on a career change. I gained a Ba Honours degree in garden design in 2005, and since then have been designing and building gardens in the Manchester area. In 2010 I gained an Ba Honours degree in Landscape Architecture and am currently undertaking a post graduate course in the subject to further my education.
Having a garden designed is a sensible undertaking. The majority of gardens evolve over a period of time, generally starting out as simple projects as patio areas or structures within the garden. The design of the whole garden requires vision and a complex understanding of how hard landscaping materials work in conjunction with other elements within the garden. Getting this wrong can be a frustrating and not to mention expensive mistake.
The design is brought to life using using a combination of computer generated imagery and sketches. This gives the client the chance visualise how the completed garden will look when built. Any reservations or changes can be voiced at this stage, long before any construction work has started.
